Optimel AB is a Swedish company founded in 1997 in Uppsala by Magnus Bouveng.
The focus was thin sheet metal processing and subcontracting for other companies.
Optimel AB has its headquarters and manufacturing in Uppsala, Sweden.

Optimel then sold BIGGI mailboxes to MMW Produkter AB, which was acquired in 2002 and became part of Optimel.
Since 2005, the mailboxes have been available in stores and online shops.
BIGGI Garden became a new concept in 2012 with a focus on garden products,

In 2007, the development of a concept for workshop furnishings from our own factory in Uppsala began.Over the years, the interior has developed with customers’ wishes and has gone from being built / assembled on site at the customer to today being delivered as fully assembled furniture.

Is today the working name of our concept with pre-assembled workbenches.
We deliver in lengths up to 3800mm. 2 different versions with high back panel 2000mm or with low back panel 1230mm in height. The furniture can be shipped worldwide without costly on-site assembly. Plug and Play with pre-installed electricity, data and connection cables.
Our workshop fittings are currently available in Sweden, Norway and Finland and our ambition is to export to more countries in Europe soon.

New owner,
Optimel was sold in 2023 to Rodin & Co A/S, which was then Optimel’s dealer in Norway.
Since the acquisition in 2023, Rodin/Optimel has invested in new machinery.
First out is the investment in a punching / laser machine Salvagnini S1.
Our ambition is to have the customer at the center and deliver products with good design, function and quality.
